The Cleveland Cavaliers have stayed remarkably consistent during the summer and will be starting the 2024-25 season looking much like the team they were last season.
On Friday morning, Adrian Wojnarowski announced another returning player.
Center Tristan Thompson is finalizing a one-year deal to come back to the Cavaliers.
He has spent 10 of his 13 seasons with Cleveland and has a career average of 8.7 points and 8.1 rebounds.

Thompson was in 49 games last season, averaging 3.3 points and 3.6 rebounds.
After so many years, he isn’t contributing as much as he used to but is still a valued member of the team and fans will be excited to see him come back.
They will also be hoping to see more of him than they did last year.
He averaged just 11.2 minutes on the court in 2023-24 but still gave valuable experience and guidance to some of the younger players on the roster.
The Cavaliers are definitely looking for more guidance and consistency in the new season.
Fewer injuries would be nice too.
Many fans believe they could have done so much better last season if most of their players didn’t get hurt.
If they can remain healthy in 2024-25, things could be great for the Cavaliers.
Thompson first played for Cleveland back in 2011.
He has briefly moved to other teams but keeps coming back to the Cavaliers and they are happy to see him.
He might not have many more years left in the NBA but it looks like he wants to retire as a Cav.
