At this point in the NBA regular season, the one thing playoff and title contenders want is to be as healthy as possible with the postseason right around the corner.
With the NBA playoffs getting underway on April 20, a team like the Cleveland Cavaliers will hope to keep their squad healthy while staying in the third seed in the Eastern Conference or possibly surpassing the Milwaukee Bucks for No. 2 in the East.
Unfortunately for Cleveland, the team’s best player is currently dealing with a bone bruise in his left knee, with the Cavaliers announcing that star guard Donovan Mitchell received a Platelet-Rich Plasma injection in that knee, which will keep him sidelined for at least three more games.

Although this is not ideal for a team that is currently battling the Bucks for the second spot in the conference, Mitchell won’t miss a considerable amount of time unless there’s an issue over the next week or so.
Cleveland hasn’t exactly been playing stellar basketball as of late, with the team splitting the last 10 games (5-5) while coming off a loss to the New York Knicks, who are only a few games back from the Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference standings.
In 47 games played so far this season, Mitchell has averaged 28.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game, shooting 47.2% from the field and 37.1% from beyond the arc.
With Mitchell having another great season in Cleveland, the Cavaliers will want to get him back on the basketball floor as soon as possible in order to keep this team sitting in a high seed in the East.
