Carmelo Anthony has become one of the most respected voices in the sports world following his retirement from the NBA.
Like everyone else, he feels the 2025-26 season could be filled with powerful and history-making performances.
Speaking about the race for Most Valuable Player, Anthony already has a prediction for the league’s frontrunner.
Anthony thinks that Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs is going to earn the coveted trophy in 2025-26.
“Every category that there is he can lead this season, we have never seen that… We’ve never seen no sh*t like Wemby, that’s MVP,” Anthony said.

Most people anticipate huge things from Wembanyama in the new season.
Last year, he produced an eye-popping 24.3 points and 11.0 rebounds on 47.6 percent from the field.
Along with that, Wembanyama also led the league with 3.8 blocks per game.
If he had been able to avoid health problems and lasted the whole season, he could have been named Defensive Player of the Year.
But he could do even more than that this time.
Throughout the summer, Spurs fans have been elated to see Wembanyama travel the world, meet with various NBA icons, and work on his game.
He is coming back to the league with a deeper toolbag, more passion, and good health.
The race for MVP is going to be as intense as always, with players such as Nikola Jokic and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in the mix to win again.
But if Wembanyama is able to build upon his already-established dominance, he can’t be counted out.
Plus, he could also help his Spurs earn more prominence in the stacked Western Conference.
