Carmelo Anthony has been in the NBA for years now, most recently with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Despite so much time in jerseys, Anthony is still an important part of any team he plays on, especially when his trademark hot hand starts making wild three-pointers in the clutch.
However, no one is quite sure how much longer we will be watching Anthony play.

He was sitting courtside during Monday’s Summer League game and was asked about his future in the league.
He was specifically asked if he had any plans to play with his son in the NBA, which is something that Anthony’s teammate LeBron James has suggested he wants to do.
“No, no I do not,” Anthony said.
This means that Anthony is being realistic about the next few years for him and is making no secret of his plans to retire soon.
Carmelo Moving On
Anthony has been playing in the NBA for 19 years now after being drafted as the third pick in the 2003 draft by the Denver Nuggets.
After spending time with the Nuggets, he eventually moved to the New York Knicks, then the Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, and Portland Trail Blazers before making a new home with the Lakers.
During his time in LA, Anthony has averaged 13.3 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1 assist – that’s a far cry from his career average of 22.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.7 assists.
Anthony has suffered from some injuries over the last few years, as well as just the normal wear and tear that comes with age.
He doesn’t play as much as he used to and it’s obvious that time is catching up with him.
While James is getting ready to recruit his son Bronny in the next few years, Anthony is instead looking to enjoy his twilight years in the league before getting some much-deserved time off in retirement.
