Everybody is tired of hearing about it at this point.
But to this moment, the New York Mets and Carlos Correa have yet to work out a contract after the team raised concerns over his physical, similarly to the San Francisco Giants.
Reports from Andy Martino of SNY indicated that the Mets were growing increasingly frustrated with the situation.
On Twitter, a St. Louis Cardinals fan made a funny reference to a tweet Mets owner Steve Cohen made back in 2021 after left-hander Steven Matz chose St. Louis over New York.
Sounds like they’re not happy this morning and have never seen such unprofessional behavior exhibited by a player’s agent. https://t.co/gT4Ftl2Tqe

In the tweet, Cohen expressed frustration over Matz’s decision and blamed the left-hander’s agent for “unprofessional behavior.”
Of course, we don’t know the specifics of this situation, or even the situation with Matz.
But it is clear that the Mets are growing frustrated over what has taken place.
And when something goes wrong, Cohen often makes sure to voice his opinion on the matter, just as he did when Matz chose the Cardinals over the Mets last offseason.
Here, this Cardinals fan is making a joke about the Correa situation by referencing Cohen’s social media outburst the morning after St. Louis had signed Matz.
It remains to be seen how Cohen will react should the deal with Correa fall through.
As Martino had reported earlier, the Mets were potentially considering backing out of the agreement.
If that happens, it is unclear what the next step for Correa and his camp will be.
But if Cohen reacts the way he did to the Matz situation, Cardinals fans will have a field day.
