The Winter Meetings are finally here.
This is where teams will be busy trying to add pieces to their rosters for the 2023 season in order to enhance their chances of a potential World Series run.
After losing both Yadier Molina and Albert Pujols, the St. Louis Cardinals are expected to be active, not just at the Winter Meetings, but throughout the offseason.
St. Louis has made clear its desire to add a regular catcher to replace Molina.
The team has been linked to catchers such as Sean Murphy, Danny Jansen, Alejandro Kirk, and Christian Vazquez.
This morning, a Cardinals fan posed an important question on Twitter.
Wake up folks, it’s Winter Meetings week!
Will the @Cardinals make a big splash? 👀

Will The Cards Make A Splash?
After a notable lack of activity in previous offseasons, Cardinals fans are hoping for a change of pace this winter.
In addition to searching for a catcher, the team is looking for an impact bat to replace the production of Pujols, who like Molina, retired at the end of the season.
More specifically, St. Louis would like a left-handed bat.
Andrew Benintendi, Michael Brantley, and switch hitter Josh Bell are a few options the team could explore.
Though the Cardinals have five starting pitchers in their rotation, there still is a chance that left-hander Jose Quintana could be retained, as both Steven Matz and Jack Flaherty are coming off injury-plagued seasons.
The Cardinals haven’t made a huge splash in the offseason since acquiring Nolan Arenado after the 2020 season.
With glaring holes in their roster, that could chance this winter, and it could start as soon as this week.
