Each day, fans of the St. Louis Cardinals hope that the team’s starting pitching will improve and give them a chance to win some more games.
However, the rotation has proven to be the team’s Achilles heel through the first few weeks of the season.
The team has recorded just seven quality starts in their first 38 games of the season.
Picked by most to win the NL Central, the Cardinals instead find themselves at the bottom of the National League with a 13-25 record.
On Twitter, Cardinals analyst Brandon Kiley gave fans a sad reminder about the team’s pitching, that it likely will not be enough to sustain a run.
The #STLCards just don’t have the pitching to sustain a real run.

This is nothing new for Cardinals fans, who were left frustrated with the front office for failing to add starting pitching during the offseason.
As time goes by, the frustration grows in St. Louis.
The pitching remains abysmal, and the team is struggling to piece anything together.
They recently won a series against the Chicago Cubs and also went on a brief three-game winning streak, so there may be signs of progress.
However, the starting pitching has not been performing well.
That continues to be the case for the Cardinals, who could find themselves slipping in the standings soon unless major changes are made.
Early-season trades are rare, but the Cardinals do have some pitching reinforcements in the minor leagues that could help them out if things continue to go south.
They’ll begin a series with the red-hot Boston Red Sox over the weekend.
