Last season was a special one for the Cincinnati Bengals.
It began with the return of quarterback Joe Burrow as he was coming off an ACL injury.
With him, and Ja’Marr Chase, the two led the Bengals to an AFC North division title.
However, it didn’t end there, as they defeated the Tennessee Titans and Kansas City Chiefs to reach Super Bowl 56.
While last season was special, it’s looking like this season can be a repeat.
The Bengals currently led in the AFC North, meaning they can repeat this part of last season.
But can they make a return to the Super Bowl to complete a re-run of their miracle season?
Former Bengals Quarterback Boomer Esiason Believes In His Team
It’s hard to knock Burrow and his play as of late.
He’s going into the teeth of the Bengals schedule and beating these elite opponents that his team faces.
It’s led former Bengals quarterback Boomer Esiason to say his old team are the undisputed kings of the AFC.

With him high on the young quarterback, he signals no other AFC team can dethrone them.
If you examine how he’s played during the team’s six game winning streak, you see plenty of good things.
In the six-game span, Burrow passed for 1,556 yards, 14 touchdowns, and four interceptions.
His line is also protecting him as well, as they are averaging 1.3 sacks allowed over those six games.
If we continue to see a Bengals offense with Burrow’s current performance and his line’s protection, they can make a Super Bowl return.
