The Baltimore Ravens might not have the best record in the NFL this season.
However, their best version looks like the best team in the league.
Of course, a lot of that has to do with Lamar Jackson.
The defending MVP could run away with the award again this season, even ahead of Josh Allen, who looked like the odds-on favorite for most of the season.
With that in mind, former MVP Cam Newton argued that he would take Jackson over any other quarterback in the league right now (via First Take).

This doesn’t strike as much of a surprise.
For starters, Jackson’s numbers are among the best in the league this season.
Moreover, as great as Joe Burrow, Patrick Mahomes, and Josh Allen are, Jackson’s play style is more similar to Newton’s.
They’re both dual-threat quarterbacks who can extend plays with their legs and get to the endzone because of their elusiveness and athleticism.
However, they can also sling the football down the field.
Jackson and the Ravens must take down the Cleveland Browns in the regular season finale to secure the AFC North Division crown.
More than that, they will look to get back at the Kansas City Chiefs, the same team that ended their season one year ago.
Jackson has often left a lot to be desired in the playoffs, and this postseason will be crucial to making or breaking his reputation and the narrative around him, maybe even until the end of his career.
