The Chicago Bulls remained loyal to Lonzo Ball during his multi-year absence from the league because of a serious knee injury.
But the loyalty may have run out in the Windy City, and Ball could soon be leaving the Bulls.
According to Joe Cowley, via NBACentral, the Bulls are “expected to aggressively shop” Ball this season.
What will this do to the team, and what does it mean for Ball’s future after such a troubled period in his career?

Knee problems have been nagging Ball again this season, and he has only played in nine games.
During those games, he has put up 5.4 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 3.4 assists.
It’s important to note that he has only played an average of 17 minutes per game.
With that being said, this absence is nothing when compared to just how much time he’s missed since 2022.
He sat out two whole seasons as he went through multiple surgeries and a lengthy rehabilitation process.
When it was announced that he’d be back with the Bulls this year, there was great joy and excitement about what he could bring to the team.
Sadly, he hasn’t been able to play as much as expected, and he is still not 100%.
What can the Bulls do with Ball and his contract?
Can they get a lot in return for him, and which team will be willing to take a chance on Ball and his checkered past with injuries?
The Bulls have been active since the summer, shipping away some of their biggest stars.
They are clearly not afraid of making more moves, including one with Ball.
Because of his past health problems, parting ways with Ball could be a complicated and lengthy process.
We don’t know how it’ll end, but Ball might not be in Chicago for much longer.
