The timing of former Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians’ resignation led to many conspiracy theories.
Sports media personality Skip Bayless said that quarterback Tom Brady won an alleged internal power struggle that led to Arians’ ouster.
Meanwhile, Pro Football Talk pointed out that Brady should be upset with Arians for resigning after he returned.
Instead, the 44-year-old quarterback had nothing but appreciation for his former coach via an Instagram post.
But even that update was perceived as a front for Brady’s true feelings.
Last season, it was speculated that the relationship between Arians and Brady turned sour after the head coach supposedly undermined the game plan that Brady and offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich built.
However, Tampa Bay Times’ Rick Stroud said that all is well with the Buccaneers to end all rumors.
Say it louder for the people in the back. There will be some changes on offense under Todd Bowles that Tom Brady will embrace. A commitment to run the football more is one. But those close to Brady and Arians say the #Bucs QB did not push for this. It’s BA’s decision. https://t.co/e2MVmKbF7i

Stroud quoted a tweet by NFL on ESPN saying that Brady’s return did not cause Arians’ resignation.
To which Stroud reacted, “Say it louder for the people in the back. There will be some changes on offense under Todd Bowles that Tom Brady will embrace. A commitment to run the football more is one. But those close to Brady and Arians say the #Bucs QB did not push for this. It’s BA’s decision.”
What Is The Truth About The Buccaneers?
An insider’s words have more weight than those observing from the outside.
Therefore, Stroud is preaching the truth because he’s the one that is constantly with these people.
He won’t tarnish the relationships he built by making false statements.
While the timing is seemingly weird, Arians may have thought about this decision long before the 2021 season ended.
What’s fascinating about Stroud’s comment is that the Buccaneers will try to run the ball more.
Leonard Fournette gives them a potent backfield option, but the revamp on their offensive line may cause some trouble.
It’s more of a minor hiccup because Brady always gives them a chance to win.
