The Carolina Panthers began the 2023 season with a lot of excitement and anticipation.
Fans were anxious to see how Bryce Young would help transform this team, hoping he would bring them to great success.
While Young and the Panthers have shown flashes of brilliance, their 1-8 record indicates that something should change.
An announcement was recently made that Frank Reich will begin calling their plays, hoping to spark something in this offense.
Young commented on this in a recent press conference shared via David Newton, confirming and backing up this decision.

He appears to have a lot of trust in Reich to lead this team down the right path for the rest of the season.
At 1-8, the Panthers are effectively knocked out of the playoffs.
While this might be a time for some teams to throw in the towel, it seems as though the Panthers are going in the opposite direction.
They want to see what Young can do throughout an entire season, and a play-calling change could help them do that.
Reich is a beloved figure within the Panthers organization.
He was the franchise’s first-ever quarterback, leading this brand-new team when they were created.
While he continues to be supported due to his history with the team, at the end of the day, the NFL is a business.
He will need to show the organization that he is their coach for the foreseeable future, and that he’s able to turn things around.
With any luck, by him calling the plays, he will more than accomplish that goal.
