Philadelphia Phillies slugger Bryce Harper is one of the best players in all of baseball.
He’s got an air of confidence about him that shows everyone what kind of player he is and what he can do on the baseball field.
But that doesn’t mean Harper isn’t cognizant of the talents of other ballplayers.
For instance, Los Angeles Angels two-way star Shohei Ohtani has taken the league by storm with his uncanny ability to hit and pitch effectively at the Major League level.
Harper is certainly impressed by that.
“You see him throwing 98 and hitting balls 450 feet,” Harper said. “He’s such a special talent and a superstar for this game.”

Bryce Approves
When you get such high praise from a guy like Harper, you know you’re doing something right.
Ohtani is certainly doing more than just something right.
He may in fact be the single greatest player in the game today.
He can do it all.
He can pitch like an ace and hit home runs 450 feet in the air, as Harper explained.
There’s really nothing quite like a guy who can do both of those things.
In essence, he is the modern-day version of the “Great Bambino”, Babe Ruth.
But he’s pitching like an ace and hitting upper deck home runs at the same time.
Nobody else in the game of baseball can say that they can do that.
Harper certainly has a ton of respect for a guy like Ohtani.
Both players can hit upper deck home runs in their sleep, but Harper is obviously very impressed by Ohtani’s ability to pitch like an ace in addition to that.
Harper’s praise is certainly warranted.
