The Philadelphia Phillies have been on the cusp of a World Series championship for the last two seasons.
Two years ago, they lost to the Houston Astros in the World Series.
Last season, they lost to the Arizona Diamondbacks in Game 7 of the NLCS.
One player who has been great during his Phillies career is Bryce Harper.
He has been well worth the money and massive contract the Phillies gave him before the 2019 season.
Harper has become a fan favorite in Philadelphia and that is where he wants to spend the rest of his career.
According to Scott Lauber via Talkin’ Baseball, Harper hopes to discuss an extension to stay in Philadelphia for the rest of his career.

Harper and the Phillies are a perfect match.
The first part of Harper’s career he spent as a rival of the Phillies.
Now, he is one of the best players in the franchise’s history.
Harper won his second career MVP with the Phillies.
All he is missing is the World Championship.
Harper is already under contract through the 2031 season.
He would be 38 years old during that year.
But adding a few more years onto his contract goes to show how Harper feels about this team.
The Phillies should be in contention every year Harper is in uniform.
The front office has made it clear they are willing to spend money to build a championship roster.
Harper’s commitment to the Phillies will only help them attract more players in free agency.
