Cleveland Browns fans are so excited for the 2021 season they may burst before the Week 1 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs.
In addition to being so thrilled, plenty of fans may be targeting their favorite players in fantasy football.
But that may not be the wisest idea and has nothing to do with a lack of talent.
In fact, there being so much talent is the problem from a fantasy standpoint.
The Running Backs
The Browns have a true superstar runner in Nick Chubb.
However, they also have another legitimate star in Kareem Hunt.
This is fantastic news for Kevin Stefanski and his coaching staff.

The team can rely on Chubb, but also keep him fresh for an entire 17-game season by using Hunt on a regular basis as well.
Chubb should still easily get over 1,000 yards, but he may be held back of approaching the rushing title due to Hunt being back there as well.
For the Browns, this is the best possible situation.
It is just not as great for fantasy players.
Should Chubb still be drafted?
Absolutely, but he may not be the best choice if someone is picking with one of the first five picks in a draft.
The Receivers
Seeing Odell Beckham Jr. on a draft board may cause some Browns fans to jump at the opportunity to take him.

But everyone must remember just how stacked the receiving game is in Cleveland.
We can even forget about how dominant the run game is and how that will impact receiving yards for a moment.
Beckham is joined by Jarvis Landry, Donovan Peoples-Jones, Austin Hooper, David Njoku, and Hunt in a competition for catches.
And the list even goes on a bit from there.
Baker Mayfield has the luxury of having so many weapons to choose from, it is hard to identify one player as the clear top option in the passing game.
Beckham, Landry, and Hooper all finishing under 1,000 yards is just fine for Stefanski and the Browns if the team is winning, led by the running game.
A better target in fantasy is a receiver who is the focal point on offense, sure to get well over 100 targets during the year.
The Browns should feature a great deal of balance that is good for winning in reality, just not fantasy.
These points are not being made to say Browns players should be avoided entirely.
Rather, higher picks should go toward others while grabbing a Browns player in the middle rounds could provide some great value.
