The Cleveland Browns made moves during the offseason to help their playoff chances.
They made a trade to get embattled quarterback Deshaun Watson.
Another move they made to help Watson was their trade for Amari Cooper.
However, the team gave up a bulk of their future draft picks for the two players.
Cooper is under pressure to play like a star.
He’s set to begin his eighth season in the NFL after seeing 1,000-yard seasons most of his career.
The Browns need a performance like that from him in 2022 if they are to stay in contention in the AFC North.

Landry was one of the top receivers for the Browns over the past several years.
With him gone, Cooper looks to take over the number one spot.
His past performance and the spot he takes over means Browns fans are expecting a lot of him in his first year with the team.
However, he’s not alone, as those same expectations are on his quarterback as well.
Watson shares an equal amount of pressure as he takes over for Baker Mayfield.
The pressure comes from what the Browns gave up to get these players.
While the Browns gave up less for Cooper than they did with Watson, it’s still future players that they gave up for two current players.
Was The Trade Worth It?
The trade they made with the Cowboys makes things look as if the Browns got a steal.
Cooper is a solid player and a player the team needs to produce on the first day.
He can do that, as his past play shows his talent at wide receiver.
Five of his eight seasons in the NFL would see him with over 1,000 receiving yards.

The Browns only gave up a fifth-round pick for him while trading their sixth to Dallas for their sixth.
It’s an excellent investment for a team that looks to win in 2022.
He gives Watson a proven receiver and gives the Browns a sure-fire starter.
However, Cooper doesn’t have a lot left in the tank.
He might only have two seasons left, depending on how healthy he stays in 2022.
Does Cooper Give The Browns A Chance In 2022?
While he is clearly in Cleveland to help bring them a title now, the question is, does he give the team that chance?
When you look at those past stats, he brings some hope to the team.
However, he is only one player.
It’s a team effort if the Browns want to make the Super Bowl or playoffs in 2022.
But him being there gives the team an additional weapon for their offense.
With quarterback Watson and running back Nick Chubb, the team can do something.
They also have a solid defense going into the 2022 season.
These things give them a little hope for the future.
Even if they only have some of these players for one or two years together.
