The Cleveland Browns entered the offseason with a big need for a wide receiver.
Amari Cooper was a stud again, and Elijah Moore showed flashes of great play, but they didn’t get many contributions from anybody else.
That’s why GM Andrew Berry worked around the clock to make sure to address that need as early in the offseason as possible.
According to a report by Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Browns are sending two 2024 draft picks — a fifth and a sixth-round pick — to the Denver Broncos in return for WR Jerry Jeudy.
Trade: Broncos and Browns agreed to a deal today that will send WR Jerry Jeudy to Cleveland in exchange for two draft picks, sources tell ESPN.

Schefter clarifies that the deal cannot be made official until the start of the new NFL year, but both sides are already in agreement.
This could be a huge win for the Browns.
Jeudy is a former first-round pick who has shown glimpses of greatness every now and then.
His quarterback situation has been far from ideal since he entered the league, and he’s failed to reach his full first-round potential, but the talent is most definitely there, and he’s still quite young.
Jeudy survived two trade deadlines and one offseason tangled up in multiple trade rumors, but he’s now finally getting the fresh start he so clearly needs to fulfill his potential.
Of course, there’s always a chance that he won’t be able to live up to his potential, but the Browns aren’t giving up a lot to get him.
He could be the ultimate low-risk/high-reward pickup for Kevin Stefanski’s offense, while the Broncos continue to shed salaries off their books.
