Most people think about Giannis Antetokounmpo when they talk of the Milwaukee Bucks.
That makes sense considering Antetokounmpo is one of the best players of all time and is clearly the team’s MVP.
But he’s not the only incredible player on the squad.
One other star on the roster is also having an unbelievable season.
Brook Lopez this season:
– Leads the NBA in blocks (2.5/game)
– Leads the NBA in contested shots
– Leads all centers in made 3s (35/90)He’s contested 251 shots through 13 games. The next closest is Zubac with 205 😳 pic.twitter.com/9sc3VAf200

Brook Lopez has been on fire lately and has been quietly putting together one of the most impressive records in the league.
He leads the NBA in blocks this season, with 2.5 per game.
He also leads the league in contested shots and leads all centers in made three-pointers (35-of-90).
Lopez has contested 251 shots through the first 13 games of the season and the closest player to him is Ivica Zubac with 205.
Lopez’s League Highs
Lopez just played his 13th game of the season on Wednesday, taking down the Cleveland Cavaliers 113-98.
It is important to remember that he only played 13 games total last season due to injury so Lopez’s 2022-23 is already better than his 2021-22.
So far this season, he is averaging 15.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 1 assist per game – alongside his 2.5 blocks.
Lopez has been at it for some time, this is his 14th season in the league.
However, it feels as if he is just now ramping up despite the length of time he’s had in the NBA.
The return of Lopez this season was one of the main reasons why people have been betting heavily on the Bucks to go all the way this year.
Indeed, the team is so much better with him on the floor.
The team is more than just Antetokounmpo’s and Lopez is proving that.
