Going into this season, the Denver Broncos had hoped they would rebound from the dismal 5-12 record they had in 2022.
Instead, they find themselves at 0-3, and they’re struggling in many areas across the board.
Denver needs help in the worst way before this season turns into another disaster, and in an attempt to give themselves a little help, they will reportedly sign wide receiver Tre’Quan Smith next week, per ProFootballTalk.

In five NFL seasons, Smith has accumulated 1,764 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns on 131 catches.
He spent each of those five seasons as a member of the New Orleans Saints, which means he will have a chance to reunite with Denver head coach Sean Payton, who was at the helm of New Orleans through the 2021 campaign.
Interestingly enough, while Denver’s defense has been very poor and their running game has been anemic, their passing game hasn’t been too bad, at least statistically.
Quarterback Russell Wilson is playing better than he did last year when it seemed he was washed up, while wide receivers Courtland Sutton and Marvin Mims have been productive to start 2023.
The Broncos’ next two games seem winnable, as they will face the Chicago Bears and New York Jets, but after that they will play the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs twice in the following three weeks.
The first of those matchups against Patrick Mahomes and company will take place on a Thursday, which means a short turnaround after they host the Jets in Week 5.
Thus, the Broncos have a tight window in which to turn their season around and give themselves a shot at returning to the playoffs for the first time since the 2015 season.
