The Denver Nuggets are on the verge of making history.
They made it to the NBA Finals for the first time in the franchise’s existence, and they’re now just three wins away from winning a championship.
With that in mind, they need all hands on deck and as many guys rooting for them as they can handle, even those who might have grown up rooting for other teams.
That’s why even Denver Broncos star CB Patrick Surtain II — who’s actually a South Florida native — recently revealed that he’s rooting for the Nuggets, not the Miami Heat.

Surtain stated that the players need to rep the city they’re playing for, and that’s why he wants the Nuggets to get it done.
Notably, the Nuggets don’t play in the biggest sports market in the league, and Colorado has been mostly known for football throughout the years.
This team has lacked the nationwide media attention other teams get, which is one of the many reasons why they’ve put it upon themselves to shut the doubters down.
The Nuggets play beautiful basketball and are quite entertaining to watch, although most NBA fans and analysts never realized it because they were too busy watching the Los Angeles Lakers or Golden State Warriors.
Hopefully, their play in the NBA Finals will be enough to finally put them on the map and people will start giving them the respect, praise, and recognition they should’ve given them all along.
