The San Francisco 49ers just suffered their first regular-season loss of the Brock Purdy era.
However, despite his early-career success, some pundits, fans, and even former players still aren’t sold on him.
They’ve called him a “system quarterback” and a byproduct of the Niners’ plethora of weapons and Kyle Shanahan’s offensive expertise, which isn’t fair at all.
Nonetheless, when asked about it by Rich Eisen, Purdy couldn’t care less about the criticism and doubts.
He stated that all he wants is to win football games, and he couldn’t be less bothered by all the outside noise and criticism.
"I don't really care… I just want to win."

Truth be told, Purdy took over the same team that Jimmy Garoppolo and Trey Lance had, and neither of the latter were able to make the offense thrive.
Purdy literally beat both of them for the job in the offseason, and people can’t seem to remember that.
Granted that he does have more than enough elite weapons at his disposal, but he shouldn’t be at fault for that.
The Niners have knocked on the door of a Super Bowl for years, and poor QB play has always stood in their way.
They’ve finally found a guy who can find ways to win football games, and not everybody has to be Patrick Mahomes or post video-game-like numbers to be good at what he does.
At the end of the day, the haters can say whatever they want, all that matters is that they continue to win games, and Purdy has done a lot of winning.
