The San Francisco 49ers found their quarterback almost by accident.
Jimmy Garoppolo and Trey Lance were expected to be in the race to be the starting quarterback.
Then, injuries pretty much forced their hand to give Mr. Irrelevant a look.
Fast forward to today, and Purdy has become a household name in the Bay area.
That’s why what would’ve most likely been a rather private event has now become a sensation on social media.

Contract-wise, Brock Purdy is the biggest bargain in the National Football League.
However, if he wanted to do so, he could’ve gone all-out in that wedding, as he’s about to become one of the highest-paid players in the game.
The Niners are making the most of Purdy’s rookie and cheap contract while they still can, as they know they’re going to have to pay him big bucks sooner rather than later.
GM John Lynch has been very vocal about his desire to pay Purdy and sign him to a big contract extension, which is perhaps why they haven’t been able to sort things out with guys like Trent Williams and Brandon Aiyuk.
Needless to say, pundits, fans, and even some of his colleagues will flood social media to debate whether he’s worthy of that kind of money.
But numbers don’t lie, and he’s won a whole load of football games since he became the starter, and that’s all that should matter.
