The Boston Celtics are just one win away from graduating.
At least, that’s how Jaylen Brown feels.
Talking on ESPN’s Get Up, NBA insider Brian Windhorst revealed that he overheard Brown telling that to his teammates, adding that he couldn’t have said it better.
Windhorst praised the way the Celtics have come together as a unit and how they’ve learned from their shortcomings of the past to finally get over the hump.
“They have held the Mavericks under 100 points three times. This is Celtics basketball.”

He also gushed about the defensive prowess and communication they’ve displayed on the court, holding the Dallas Mavericks to under 100 points in all games of the series thus far.
The Celtics have been there in the past, but they weren’t ready.
Now, two years later, they’re more mature, more poised, and aren’t overwhelmed by the shiny and bright lights of the NBA Finals.
This should show other teams in the league that the solution isn’t always to break things up and hit the drawing board again.
Young players need to go through growing pains to mold and shape their characters.
Michael Jordan would’ve never been Michael Jordan without the Detroit Pistons, and the same goes for LeBron James and the San Antonio Spurs.
It takes patience to build a championship-winning team in the most competitive basketball tournament on the face of the Earth.
The Celtics young stars took their classes and aced their tests to get to this point.
Now, it’s all about crossing the finish line and finally reaping what they’ve been sowing for years.
