As the Milwaukee Brewers prepare to open up American Family Field for their home opener against the St. Louis Cardinals, they do so after a three-month long project to build a new field inside the ballpark.
The field is ready to go for Opening Day after a bunch of hard work over the offseason and during the lockout.
According to tweet from the Brewers themselves, the field consists of 640 tons of sand and 100,000 square feet of sod.
The field looks nice and new and ready for action in the 2022 regular season, and the day is here for it to finally be put to use.

New And Improved
This field looks absolutely beautiful.
You can tell that months of hard work went in this project and that the people that were a part of it worked tirelessly to try and make the field look nice and new for the 2022 season.
Opening Day always bring a sense of hope, but with a new field comes a feeling of newness all around the ballpark and the city as the Brewers look to defend their National League Central division crown from a year ago.
You can bet the Brewers and their grounds crew are excited about how this turned out.
Countless hours were put into this project.
The Brewers will be excited to play on a field that is new and improved and the grounds crew will be excited to see what the finished product looks like.
We’ll see what the new field looks like after two teams have played on it for the first time.
Baseball is back in full swing and the new season promises to be one filled with excitement and joy.
