Every person who has followed professional sports in America knows that Philadelphia’s fans are something else.
They are passionate – perhaps a bit too passionate at times – but they are loud and loyal.
They want nothing more than to watch their team win.
This, of course, also applies to the Philadelphia Phillies.
This is the first time the Phillies made the postseason since 2011, so you can imagine fans are excited.
This feeling increased when they swept the St. Louis Cardinals in the Wild Card series and took Game 1 of the Division Series against the Atlanta Braves.
The reigning World Champions fought back and won Game 2, but now the series is going to Philadelphia
The crowds in Philly will be loud, and you can be sure about that.
Braves manager Brian Snitker knows this.
Alex Coffey of the Philadelphia Inquirer tweeted some quotes by Snitker on what it’s like to play in Philadelphia.

A Candid Conversation About Fan Bases
He candidly told Coffey that when he was a third base coach, every game they played in Philadelphia was “nuts.”
Snitker acknowledged Phillies fans are passionate and special, but he also said his players are used to playing in atmospheres like these because things have been similar in Atlanta.
“This whole year has been nuts here. It’s been like playoff baseball pretty much the entire year here,” he stated.
That’s what happens in a city that loves baseball and has a competitive team that just won the World Series.
While there is nothing like playing at home and everybody knows it, the Braves’ players already know what it is to play (and win) on the road.
Otherwise, they wouldn’t have had a chance of lifting the World Series trophy last year or overcome a 10.5-game deficit to win the NL East division this season.
