The Atlanta Braves have been, without a doubt, the best team in baseball in the 2023 campaign.
Their 96-53 record is the best in the league, and that’s counting the three straight losses they suffered against the Miami Marlins over the weekend.
They have been so good that they still occupy first place in MLB’s Power Rankings despite their weekend sweep.
“I’m not leaving. I’m not leaving. I’M NOT LEAVING. The @Braves remain No. 1 in this week’s Power Rankings,” MLB tweeted.

Yes, Atlanta suffered its first three-game series sweep since May, but that can’t erase an entire season of dominance.
Before the Marlins series, they won three of four games against the Philadelphia Phillies and secured their sixth straight NL East title in impressive fashion.
The focus, for them, is now getting to the postseason as healthy as they can.
They have an incredible roster from top to bottom: a fantastic lineup, multiple MVP candidates, a good bullpen, and an excellent rotation.
Add a good manager in Brian Snitker to the mix and you have a potential October juggernaut.
If their core manages to get to the postseason healthy and in-form, the Braves have a very good chance of winning the World Series for the second time in three years after their 2021 triumph.
Even if they take it easy on their remaining games, the Braves look likely to clear the 100-win threshold again.
What an incredible, deep team.
