The Charlotte Hornets put all the speculation to rest when they drafted Brandon Miller as the No. 2 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.
This decision was questionable by plenty of fans, especially with Scoot Henderson still on the board.
The forward will have to work hard to prove his value in the league, even to Hornets fans.
Talking with Charlotte Sports Live, via Clutch Points, Miller reacted to the boos he received from Hornets fans.
"To the ones that's booing, I'm here to let you know we're going to get a lot of wins this year. Definitely going to try to hold up the big trophy at the end."

After missing out on Victor Wembanyama during the draft lottery, the Hornets had a big decision to make with the No. 2 overall selection.
Scoot Henderson appeared to be the favorite to land in Spectrum Center leading up to the draft.
However, Miller reportedly ‘impressed’ Michael Jordan during his private workout, getting the edge over Henderson, who fell to No. 3.
The Hornets landed a player with a lot of confidence, as Miller claimed his team would play in the NBA Finals next year.

After several years of struggles, the Hornets hope to see Miller turning things around alongside LaMelo Ball.
Miller posted 18.8 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game in his first and only season with Alabama.
This is a big gamble for the Hornets, but they’re confident this was the right choice.
Whether the Hornets made the right choice remains to be seen, but Miller knows he has a lot to prove moving forward.
