Years ago, the Golden State Warriors were one of the bottom-feeding franchises in the NBA.
Fast forward to today, and standards have changed in the Bay area.
The Warriors became a part of NBA royalty and had the latest dynasty in the league.
That’s why, even with Klay Thompson gone, they want to prove that they still have what it takes to compete at the highest level.
The Warriors are taking this season quite seriously, and they’ve gone undefeated in the preseason.
When asked about that, SG Brandin Podziemski claimed that their competitive nature makes them want to win every single game they play, whether it is official or not (via Warriors on NBC Sports).
"As a competitor, you want to win everything."

The Warriors are hurting right now.
They didn’t finish last season in the way they wanted, and some believe that it was the beginning of the end of the Stephen Curry era.
The last three times they won at least five preseason games, they wound up winning the NBA championship, so this could be a good omen for Steve Kerr’s team.
Granted, the Western Conference is quite stacked, and they’re no longer the powerhouse they used to be.
Even so, they’re still a championship-caliber organization full of people who know what it takes to get the job done and perform at the highest level.
Standards and stakes have never been higher for the Warriors.
Now, it’s all about getting the job done when it actually matters and keeping this momentum going when the season starts.
