Bradley Beal of the Washington Wizards might be done with the NBA season for now but that doesn’t mean he has stopped living and breathing basketball.

The star player is giving back to the only NBA city he’s ever known: Washington D.C.

He has joined up with the group Hoop For All to refurbish and renovate a local basketball court in the DC area.

He’s now broadcasting to all fans in the area that the grand re-opening of the court will be on June 18, giving plenty of local young ballers a chance to hoop all summer long – and possibly spot Beal doing the same.

Balling With Beal

There is no doubt that Beal will be on hand to open the court in June.

He has been a huge part of finding the right park to refurbish and has had a hand in every step of the process.

Beal has done that all while trying to heal from a wrist injury that took him out of the Wizards’ lineup back in February.

Before he was injured, he was putting up 23.2 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 6.6 assists a game.

For years now, he’s been the center of the Wizards – even though some have wondered if he’d be traded away.

Through thick and (very) thin, Beal has stayed loyal to Washington.

Yet, fans of the team are demanding that he gets more help in order to achieve true greatness.

The team started off strong this last season but ended up in 12th place with a painful 35-47 record.

That came after some big trades in the previous offseason.

Obviously, more needs to be done to get the Wizards in better shape.

Otherwise, Beal might not be there for much longer.
