Chris Paul is officially coming back to the Los Angeles Clippers, and he will once again wear No. 3 on his jersey.
However, Paul’s move came shortly after the team signed Bradley Beal.
As all NBA fans know, Beal also wears No. 3.
So, how was Paul able to secure the number?
According to Clippers executive Lawrence Frank, Beal gave up that number in order for Paul to have it.
“Brad is such a great guy and an awesome teammate… He knows what that jersey means to Chris. There’s a reason why he’s CP3,” Frank said according to Lauren Rosen.

There is obviously already team chemistry and camaraderie between these two.
That is a good sign for all Clippers fans, because it suggests that next season might be great for the team.
Paul and Beal are two of the most experienced and respected players in the league, and they are hoping they can help boost the Clippers and allow them to climb higher in the Western Conference standings.
Of course, there are worries and concerns about these two.
For starters, they are both getting older and more prone to injuries.
Beal has suffered quite a few over the last few years.
And although Paul played in all 82 games last season, he is surely nearing the end of his time in the NBA.
These two might not be starters full-time next season, but they can still help their team in some important ways.
The fact that Beal gave up No. 3 to Paul is a promising move and shows that this new Clippers team is already building close bonds.
