The NBA season is in full swing, and you can already tell a few teams need to improve their rosters.
The trade deadline is set for February 9, and plenty of moves should be made by then.
Some of the teams that were expected to contend for the NBA championship are missing a few pieces.
Here are two NBA trade deadline predictions.
1. John Collins Traded To The Brooklyn Nets
After a terrible start to the season, the Brooklyn Nets have turned it on as of late.
They have their key pieces of Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and Ben Simmons in place.
But, they can use another solid contributor.
That is where Atlanta Hawks forward John Collins comes in.
The 25-year-old is averaging 12.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 1.3 assists this season.
He is also averaging 1.4 blocks per game and could provide rim protection for the Nets.

It appears there are a few teams interested in Collins, so the Nets will need to trade a strong package of picks/players.
But, with the players they have in place it is time for the Nets to go all-in.
2. The Golden State Warriors Acquire Alex Caruso
The reigning NBA champions have to make a trade at some point before the deadline.
Sitting with a record of 14-15, the Warriors need to add depth and defensive playmakers.
One player that seems like a good fit is Chicago Bulls guard Alex Caruso.
Caruso is one of the best on-ball defenders in the NBA.
Also, he is a solid playmaker on offense.

Golden State needs to find its identity again defensively, which led them to the title last year.
Until they can consistently stop teams, they will struggle to get above .500.
They are allowing 116.8 points per game, which is the fifth-worst mark in the NBA.
So a move to get an elite defensive player should certainly be in their future.
