The Denver Broncos entered the season with Bo Nix as their starting quarterback, and they knew that there would be some growing pains along the way.
Nix has looked good at times but has also put forth several plays that have showcased his rookie nature.
These mixed results have resulted in a 3-2 start to the season for the Broncos, a positive start to the year considering the team’s frustrating finish in 2023.
Nix is starting to find his way in this offense, looking more and more comfortable every week.
Head coach Sean Payton is starting to see what Nix can do and made sure to highlight that in a recent press conference.
As Charles Robinson noted on X, Payton said Nix has “a little Ferris Bueller in him.”
This caused Nix to make an Instagram video in the theme of “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” a clip that has since gone viral.

After seeing this clip, it’s clear that Nix is starting to get more confident in his abilities as an NFL quarterback, and a leader in this locker room.
The Broncos invested a lot of draft capital in him, and they’re hoping to get a strong return on that investment.
He will only continue to grow and develop over the next few months, and if he figures it out, this team might even sneak into the playoffs as a Wild Card team.
It will be tough for the Broncos or another team in the AFC West to make headway in the division as long as Patrick Mahomes is around.
