The Toronto Blue Jays continue to fly under the radar in the American League this year.
That is partly because the Tampa Bay Rays have been so dominant this season.
They started the year as the best team in baseball and have shown no signs of slowing down.
But the Blue Jays have proven to be serious contenders this year as well.
One of their players who continues to dominate is shortstop Bo Bichette.
He is one of the best pure hitters in baseball and he is leading the AL in hits this year.
According to MLB, Bichette and Luis Arraez are the only two hitters in baseball with 100 hits on the season.

This should not surprise anyone as Bichette has led the AL in hits each of the last two years.
He finished the season with 191 in 2021 and 189 last year.
Bichette is on pace for his first career 200-hit season.
For the Blue Jays to stay in the AL East race they need their offense to be elite.
They are currently 11.5 games out of first place despite having a 39-35 record.
That puts them in fourth place, needing to pass the New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles who are both ahead of them in the wild-card.
What makes Bichette great is that he is available to play every day.
He leads baseball in games played with 74 and that has been a major boost to the Blue Jays’ chances.
Over a long 162-game season the team that can stay the healthiest usually prevails.
That is what the Blue Jays are hoping to do.
