The Chicago Bulls have some new faces.
They enter the season with plenty of questions, especially at the point guard position.
When healthy, there’s absolutely no doubt that this is Lonzo Ball’s spot, but with the UCLA product set to miss yet another full season, coach Bill Donovan needs to find a replacement.
As of now, it seems like there’s an ongoing competition between Alex Caruso, Jevon Carter, Coby White, Ayo Dosumnu, and even Carlik Jones to be the starting PG.
When asked about that, coach Donovan told SiriusXM NBA that he believes the competitive environment is actually positive for training camp, provided that all players know they need to be at their best to earn their minutes.

He talked about some of their players like Coby White and Ayo Dosumnu being team-first kind of guys who’ll embrace and play within their roles, even though they obviously want to be starters.
But more than that, the coach acknowledged that even if there’s a starter for the first game of the season, it doesn’t mean he’s going to remain the starter for the whole year.
Donovan made it clear that lineups could be fluid and that they’ll look to make adjustments when things aren’t working out, so it’s not like everything will be set in stone and the players can just ‘relax’ after earning that spot.
Even so, with this roster, it’s kind of hard to envision the Bulls being more than a borderline Play-in team, and they could find themselves as sellers ahead of the traded deadline.
