The Buffalo Bills turned some heads during the 2023 NFL Draft, moving up two spots in a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
After trading for this pick, they promptly selected Dalton Kincaid, a tight end out of Utah.
Several of his teammates have already lauded his minicamp performances, including Von Miller and Josh Allen, per NFL Rookie Watch.
The Utah Athletics Twitter page also chimed in, saying, “Big things coming for our guy, Dalton Kincaid.”

Despite the Bills having one of the AFC’s top defenses in 2022, they took Kincaid in the first round, furthering Allen’s receiving help.
The Bills will still have to contend with teams like the Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals, but this is a step in the right direction.
During the pre-draft process, Kincaid was the top tight end in the class, as many analysts highlighted.
At 6-foot-4, Kincaid will have an opportunity to step into the Bills offense, and hopefully make a year-one impact.
During his final season at Utah, Kincaid racked up 70 receptions, which resulted in 890 yards and eight touchdowns.
If early reporting is any indication, Kincaid could be in for a massive workload this season.
While Allen has established a connection with players like Stefon Diggs and Dawson Knox, Kincaid’s draft capital indicates what the team thinks of him.
Plus, Diggs is nowhere to be found at this point in the offseason amid contractual disputes with the front office.
With his status hanging in the balance, Kincaid’s value can only increase from this point.
