The AFC East-leading Buffalo Bills are making a couple of roster moves ahead of the trade deadline.
According to NFL insider Aaron Wilson, Buffalo is signing veteran wide receiver Deon Cain to the practice squad and releasing kicker Lucas Havrisik from the practice squad.
With veteran Tyler Bass maintaining the kicking duties, the bigger move here is the Deon Cain signing.

Right now, it is hard to say if Cain could be brought up to the 53-man roster at some point.
If need be, the Bills would be adding a true journeyman to their lineup.
Cain, 28, has played for six different teams during his seven-year NFL career (including practice squads).
The former All-ACC performer will be joining the Bills’ practice squad for the second time this season.
He also won both the UFL and the USFL championship with the Birmingham Stallions.
In his NFL career, he has just nine receptions for 124 yards.
The former Clemson Tiger’s last NFL reception came in 2019 as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Again, it is hard to say if he will earn some playing here at some point.
Buffalo already has Amari Cooper, Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman, Curtis Samuel, and Mack Hollins on the 53-man roster.
But if an injury does happen in that room, then Cain could perhaps be granted an opportunity to suit up for a game at some point in the coming weeks.
For now, the 6-2 Bills are just preparing themselves in case they need help out wide in the coming weeks.
