Over the last few years, many have considered the Buffalo Bills to be Super Bowl contenders, but their luster is starting to wear off.
They fell to 4-3 on the season after a shocking 29-25 loss to the moribund New England Patriots on Sunday, and although quarterback Josh Allen and wide receiver Stefon Diggs have been playing mostly well, their defense has some issues.
Star linebacker Von Miller barely played, and the injury report per Buffalo Bills PR shows that he’s dealing with a knee ailment.

Miller has played in just three games this year, and he has totaled only one combined tackle.
Last season, he was limited to 11 games because of a torn ACL.
Miller, whom the Bills signed as a free agent prior to last season, isn’t quite who he used to be when he was the MVP of Super Bowl 50, but he was spry enough to be the final piece for the Los Angeles Rams when they won it all in the 2021 campaign.
He last made the Pro Bowl in 2019 when he posted 8.0 sacks, 20 quarterback hits, and 10 tackles for loss.
Buffalo currently sits 14th in rushing touchdowns allowed and 23rd in rushing yards allowed, and they could definitely use the presence of a healthy Miller on that side of the football.
They will play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday, which will give Miller less time to recover, before visiting the Cincinnati Bengals on November 5.
Luckily for the Bills, the Miami Dolphins lost on Sunday night, which means they’re just one game out of first place in the AFC East.
