The Buffalo Bills have dominated in the first two weeks of the 2022 NFL season.
They have scored an average of 36 points per game and have an average winning margin of 32.5 points.
Buffalo made a statement game by dominating the Los Angeles Rams in their season opener.
After a 10-10 tie at halftime, the Bills went on a 21-0 second-half run to defeat the defending Super Bowl champions.
The Bills were even better in Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans.
They never looked back after scoring 34 points in the second and third quarters.
Their 41-7 demolition of the Titans extended some of their records, as Bills analyst Howard Simon pointed out.
the Bills have:
*scored 27 or more pts 9 straight games
* scored 40 or more pts 8 times since 2020(most in NFL)
* have 20 wins in a row by double digits(ties NFL record set in 1941+42)
* have 13 wins by 14 pts or more the last 2 years(most in NFL)— Howard WGR (@hsimon62) September 20, 2022
Simon shared that the Bills have scored 27 or more points in nine straight games.
They have the most 40-point games in the league since 2020 and have 13 wins by at least 14 points in the last two years.
Likewise, the Bills tied the record for most consecutive wins by double digits which dates back to the 1941 and 1942 seasons.
Josh Allen had another splendid game against Tennessee with 26 completions for 317, four touchdowns, and zero interceptions.
Stefon Diggs was also an unstoppable force with 12 catches for 148 yards and three touchdowns.
Their defense also had two sacks and two picks.
Winning The Important Games Matters More
While Buffalo’s two-game run is impressive, it would be better if they replicate those feats during the playoffs.
Unfortunately, the Kansas City Chiefs have had their number for the last two seasons.
After suffering defeat in the 2020 AFC Championship Game, the Bills lost to the Chiefs again in that pulsating 2021 Divisional Round game.
Getting over the hump and defeating the Chiefs should be their priority, especially when they meet in the postseason again.
But for now, they can only send a message through these impressive performances.
