It seems like Jimmy Butler’s situation with the Miami Heat has become unsustainable.
The fact that the team suspended him for seven games only speaks volumes about how badly things have gotten.
That’s why Bill Simmons doesn’t see this being dragged out much further.
As Legion Hoops on X reported, the renowned analyst predicted that Butler would be traded as early as this week.

Certainly, multiple teams may have already been working to get a deal done.
Multiple reports state that the Heat have not been impressed by any offers they’ve received for their disgruntled star.
Then again, they can’t afford to have him leave as a free agent at the end of the season.
The Golden State Warriors need a scoring punch and someone to give Stephen Curry a hand, and they’ve been tied to him for months now.
The Phoenix Suns are also reportedly looking to get rid of Bradley Beal and his terrible contract to make room for Butler, and he would be willing to waive his no-trade clause depending on his next destination.
Oddsmakers also have the Memphis Grizzlies as a potential destination for the two-way star.
Butler has burned many bridges during his time in the league.
He’s injury-prone, making a lot of money, and slightly overpaid right now.
However, he’s also an impactful player, especially in the playoffs, and he could be just what any team needs to get to the next level, even if it’s just as a rental.
