For Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots, the 2023 season represents a chance to get back to their championship ways, although they face stiff competition in the AFC East.
The Patriots are arguably the worst team in their division as the Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, and Miami Dolphins all have feasible claims as Super Bowl contenders.
Belichick is going to go down as the greatest NFL head coach in league history, but even he’ll need more help if he hopes to lead the Patriots back to the Super Bowl.
New England’s certainly got some pieces and young talent that are intriguing, but look like they are maybe a season or two away from truly competing.
However, Belichick might have drawn some unlikely inspiration from Taylor Swift after watching her in concert recently, via the NFL on Twitter.
“That was pretty impressive,” Belichick said, about Swift playing in the rain. “She’s tough, man. She just stood out there and played right through it.”
Belichick saw @taylorswift13 perform in the pouring rain for three hours and had to give her props.

Swift has been touring across the country and her music has reached even the likes of Belichick, who many probably wouldn’t peg as a pop fan.
Getting praise from Belichick is a rare occurrence from players, so it’s both funny and absurd to see him offer props to Swift.
While some fans will probably do a double-take at the praise from Belichick, the truth of the matter is he was probably serious knowing his personality and demeanor.
The Patriots have always been a tough-nosed defensive team since Belichick took over the sidelines and perhaps he’ll be using his Swift concert experience to help guide them through the year.
