The Atlanta Falcons have taken a measured approach over the past three years to build their offense.
They have used high first-round draft picks on skill-position players, hoping to improve this unit with elite rookies.
Bijan Robinson is their latest draftee, and he has already substantially impacted the team’s overall production.
As NFC South reporter Greg Auman has recently highlighted, Robinson is well on his way to breaking the Falcons’ rookie record for all-purpose yards.
Falcons rookie Bijan Robinson needs 57 yards to reach 1,000 yards from scrimmage this season. He's on pace for 1,457, which would break William Andrews' Falcons rookie record of 1,332. If he gets to 1,500, he would be just the 32nd player ever to do so as a rookie.

Auman noted that Robinson is 57 yards shy of 1,000 on the year.
Pending injury or a reduced workload, Robinson is on pace for nearly 1,500 yards, shattering William Andrews’ previously-held record.
Robinson is already performing at historic levels, indicating that the Falcons’ draft pick was well-warranted.
His play has helped get the Falcons to the position they are currently in, which is first place in the NFC South.
The Falcons’ latest game showcased Robinson’s abilities on the ground and through the air, as he rushed for 91 yards, also catching three passes for 32 yards.
He has been a complementary player to Drake London and Kyle Pitts, the Falcons’ other two first-round draft picks from the past three years.
With this trio performing well, it seems like the Falcons are moving in the right direction.
The only central question seems to come from the quarterback position.
Neither Taylor Heinicke nor Desmond Ridder have established themselves as the team’s starter.
Fans must wait and see the team’s direction in the offseason.
For now, they can bask in the rookie season that Robinson continues to put forth.
