For several weeks, there were some whispers that wide receiver Tyreek Hill wanted to be traded by the Miami Dolphins, and after their regular-season finale, he all but confirmed that idea.
After the loss to the New York Jets, he made some comments that made it sound as if he had played his last game for Miami.
Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill:
“I have to do what’s best for me and my family — if that’s here or wherever the case may be. I’m about to open up that door for myself. … I’m out, bruh. It was great playing here but at the end of the day, I have to do what’s best for my career.” https://t.co/9ifzQIPKCn

It remains to be seen if the Dolphins will grant him his wish, especially with two years left on the big contract he signed shortly after the Kansas City Chiefs traded him.
If Hill and the Dolphins do part ways, the Dallas Cowboys (3-1) are the betting favorites to land him, followed by the Las Vegas Raiders (4-1), Atlanta Falcons (5-1) and the AFC East rival Buffalo Bills (6-1) and New England Patriots (8-1), via JPAFootball.

If Miami does make him available, he would instantly become the hottest commodity on the trade market, and a slew of teams would undoubtedly joust for the opportunity to land him.
This was a frustrating season for Hill that started with him being placed in handcuffs by police on his way to Miami’s Week 1 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars and ended with him failing to reach 1,000 receiving yards for the first time since the 2019 season.
Just last season, he flirted with getting to the 2,000-yard mark, and had it not been for an ankle injury late in the season, perhaps he would’ve gotten there and set a single-season NFL record in that category.
Hill may have lost a bit of his ability at age 30, but he should have enough to take a team up a notch or two.
