The Dallas Cowboys and Mike McCarthy chose to part ways.
As such, Jerry Jones will need to find a new head coach for his organization.
And while most people thought Deion Sanders was leading the race to take the job, it seems like there still hasn’t been any formal talks regarding the position.
Even so, they could still turn to a familiar face.
As reported by JPA Football on X, Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore is currently the odds-on favorite to land the job.

This isn’t much of a surprise.
Moore was an assistant coach in Dallas for years.
While Mike McCarthy decided to let him go after his first year with the team, he was always said to be in a favorable position with Jerry Jones.
Jones has always been all about relationships and seemed to like Moore.
Moore has done a very good job as an offensive coordinator for the most part, outside of a one-year tenure with the Los Angeles Chargers.
He’s an innovative offensive mind who’s already quite familiar with the NFC East Division, so he looks like a seamless fit here.
He’s also more than familiar with the team’s roster, including veteran quarterback Dak Prescott.
Of course, the Cowboys will continue to explore all of their options, and people would be wise not to rule out Coach Prime entirely just yet.
But of all the candidates they’re considering, Moore, who has been considered for the position in the past, seems to be the obvious choice.
