The Cincinnati Bengals have not seen quarterback Joe Burrow on the practice field in a few weeks.
After the injury scare he had to his calf earlier in training camp, Burrow has been on a long rehab plan.
Despite having no clear timetable for his return, everyone around the Bengals thinks he will be ready for the season.
According to Jeremy Rauch, Bengals OC Brian Callahan recently said: “Everything seems like he’s progressing the way he’s supposed to.”

I asked OC Brian Callahan how Joe Burrow is progressing towards week one in Cleveland.

Callahan seems confident that Burrow will be ready for Week 1.
The success of the Bengals’ season lies in the health of Burrow.
If he can play, they are expected to be Super Bowl contenders.
If not, they may be looking at a top-10 draft pick.
Luckily, this injury happened so early in camp that Burrow has been given ample time to recover.
Also, he is now a veteran and does not need a full training camp of reps to be prepared for the year.
The Bengals have won 22 games over the past two regular seasons.
The expectation in Cincinnati is now to play for the Super Bowl every year.
It will be interesting to see how this injury affects Burrow’s timing at the beginning of the season.
But, make no mistake, as long as the former No. 1 pick is on the field the Bengals will be expected to win.
