The Cincinnati Bengals entered their Sunday Night Football matchup with the Buffalo Bills determined to come away with the win.
This was not only an important game for their standing on the year, but a chance to break an organizational streak.
As the official Sunday Night Football account pointed out, this was the first Sunday Night Football win in franchise history.

Before beating the Bills, the Bengals were 0-9 as a franchise on Sunday Night Football.
For whatever reason, they had previously been unable to find ways to win in this edition of primetime.
Breaking this record is the latest feat Joe Burrow accomplished as the leader of this team.
The Bengals were one of the bottom-feeder teams of the AFC for many years, but Burrow has instituted major organizational changes.
This team has been to the AFC Championship in two straight seasons, and with this win over the Bills, they’ve shown that they can take on any challenge that comes their way.
They might have started the season slowly, but with Burrow continuing to improve throughout the year, there’s no telling what this team can accomplish.
Will the Bengals make additional headway throughout the rest of the season, perhaps competing with the Baltimore Ravens for the division lead?
They have a long road ahead of them to make that happen, but with Burrow at the helm, anything seems possible for this team.
