The immediate future of defensive-minded star Ben Simmons of the Brooklyn Nets remains uncertain, with no telling whether his current team wants to keep him on or find a way to unload him and his massive contract.
Despite an uncertain playing future in the NBA, which has only gotten worse every single year with people doubting his commitment to the game, Simmons continues to show up in workout videos throughout the offseason.
Usually, these kinds of hype videos get basketball fans ready for the upcoming season, as they see their favorite players working on their craft and getting better in different areas in which they were lacking last season.
As for Simmons, his jump shot has been a persistent problem ever since he came into the league, and that continues to this day with no telling if he’ll ever be able to improve that part of his game or if he even wants to.
During this latest hype video, Simmons is seen taking one shot in the entire video via NBACentral.

Obviously, Nets fans aren’t going to be going crazy about Simmons taking one shot in this video and never appearing again, as he doesn’t show any kind of progress and potentially just more of the same from the former No. 1 overall pick.
It’ll be interesting to see what the future holds for Simmons and whether he shows the desire to improve or even participate in basketball activities in the months ahead.
With the Nets being a talented team led by Mikal Bridges, Brooklyn could benefit from a defensive stopper like Simmons, even though he has his problems offensively.
