There has been a lot of talk about Ben Simmons of the Brooklyn Nets lately and most of it hasn’t been good.
Some people have said he’s washed up while others claim he doesn’t believe in himself.
Others feel he is just cheating the Nets and earning millions of dollars while not contributing at all.
Simmons is sick of hearing that and has a warning for those who feel that way.
According to NBACentral, Simmons said:
“People make comments saying I’m robbing. No. When I got that contract, I was playing at a super high level. Unfortunately, I had injuries. But for somebody to say that, it’s disrespectful. [But] people can say what they want to say. They’ve got to live with it. At the end of the day it all catches up with you.”
Ben Simmons says it’s “disrespectful” that fans think he’s robbing teams, and their disrespectful comments will eventually catch up to them ?

Simmons was once one of the brightest young stars in the league.
That is why he was the No. 1 overall draft pick in 2016 and why he earned Rookie of the Year.
But Simmons’ output has plummeted over the years, and some people feel it’s not simply because of injuries.
There are a number of people who feel that Simmons has lost his drive, desire, and belief in himself.
They feel his heart is no longer in the game, although he said all of his issues had to do with injuries.
He hasn’t been playing much but he has been earning millions because of his contract.
For some, that is just wrong and they demand to see more from Simmons in the 2024-25 season.
According to most reports, they will, because he is allegedly healthy, in great shape, and ready to get started.
If he plays like he did as a rookie, the cries of Simmons ripping the Nets off will fade, but just a bit.
He has a long way to go before he has fans’ trust again.
