Recently, Brooklyn Nets owner Joe Tsai revealed that the team would go in a different direction in the offseason.
He acknowledged that they don’t have enough assets or the kind of roster to compete right now, which is why they’re going to favor rebuilding for the future instead.
That means they could try to offload Ben Simmons.
And while his trade market could be at an all-time low, it seems like he’s back to full strength.
A pic shared by Nets Kingdom on social media (via NBA Central) showed him getting some work in at the gym.

Simmons missed most of the season with yet another injury, and it’s starting to look like he’s only healthy in the summer.
The former No. 1 pick has barely played for years now, and even when he’s been on the floor, he hasn’t been the kind of player that would justify having such a big chunk of the salary cap.
He’s still on the books for more years, so it would be interesting to see his actual market.
The Nets don’t have that many assets, so attaching draft picks to his large contract might not be in their best interests.
Still, Simmons is young and has the athleticism and playmaking skills that could make him a potential trade target for a team desperate to make a run, assuming he’s actually healthy and proves himself early in the upcoming campaign.
At the end of the day, the game is better when the best players are healthy, and some still have hope for him.
