The Detroit Lions currently employ arguably two of the most coveted head coach candidates out there in offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn.
On Wednesday, Johnson was asked by the Detroit media about Glenn being a quality head-coaching candidate.
His response should excite teams that are interested in hiring Glenn.
“He is beyond qualified right now. You hear all our players singing his praises…He is more prepared to be a head coach than maybe anybody I’ve ever met. He wants that,” Johnson said.

While in charge of the Lions’ defense this season, Glenn has been able to put a great product out on the field.
In the regular season, Detroit’s defense ranked fifth in rushing defense, seventh in scoring defense, and they were one of seven teams with 16 or more interceptions.
Glenn also played for a long time in the NFL.
He played 15 years in the league as a cornerback and spent time with five different teams (New York Jets, Houston Texans, Dallas Cowboys, Jacksonville Jaguars, and New Orleans Saints).
The former three-time Pro-Bowler could be the perfect fit for one of his old teams in the New York Jets.
New York could use the mentality of a former player in the building, and Glenn’s defensive brilliance could be the cherry on top for a team that has a talented roster.
A couple of other teams that Glenn played for in the New Orleans Saints and Dallas Cowboys could be in the running for the 52-year-old if the situation makes sense.
