The 2023 NFL season has been a nightmare for the storied Chicago Bears franchise, with seemingly nothing going right for the team over the first two weeks.
Along with being in contention for being the worst team in the league right now after consecutive losses to the Green Bay Packers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, defensive coordinator Alan Williams resigned this week, and star quarterback Justin Fields criticized the coaching staff for making him robotic on the football field.
As if all of that wasn’t bad enough for Chicago, the Bears also had over $100,000 worth of equipment stolen earlier this week, according to ABC 7 Chicago via Bleacher Report.

The Bears headed into the 2023 campaign with high hopes of turning things around after finishing the 2022 season with 10 straight losses.
Chicago may have ended last season in disappointment with only three wins on the year, but Fields showed signs of promise, as the franchise believed they could build around him moving forward.
As a result, the team chose to trade the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft to the Carolina Panthers in a deal in which the team received wide receiver DJ Moore in return.
Unfortunately, this season, it has been more of the same for the Bears, with the jury out on Fields and the future looking bleak in Chicago, to say the least.
This robbery of $100,000 in equipment is just another negative thing to happen in Chicago as this team tries to figure out what direction to go in with their season not going as planned right now.
